UNVEILING OF DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANTO TOMAS, ISABELA
On December 4, 2025, the Local Government Unit of Santo Tomas, Isabela, in partnership with the Rural Health Unit (RHU), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Santo Tomas Police Station, successfully conducted the Unveiling of the Drug-Free Workplace Marker.

This milestone marks a significant step toward building a safer, healthier, and more productive community. The program forms part of the intensified campaign to ensure a secure and drug-free environment for all employees and constituents.

The activity was led by PCPT Romel T. Aggabao, Chief of Police of Santo Tomas Police Station, together with Hon. Leandro Antonio P. Talaue, Municipal Mayor of Santo Tomas, Isabela; DIR III Gil Cesario P. Castro, Regional Director of PDEA Regional Office II; IA V Ma. Editha R. Bunagan, Provincial Officer of PDEA Isabela; Mr. Asher L. Juan, MLGOO; Dr. Harold Talaue, Municipal Health Officer; SFO3 Felipe O. Ante of the BFP; Pastor Antonio Bagunu Sr.; and Pastor Dexter Beltran, Life Coach of Santo Tomas, Isabela.

The ceremony commenced with an inspirational message from Pastor Dexter Beltran and an opening prayer led by Pastor Antonio Bagunu Sr. This was followed by a message from PCPT Romel T. Aggabao, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a drug-free workplace. In his message, Mayor Leandro Antonio P. Talaue highlighted that establishing a Drug-Free Workplace is not only compliance with the law but also a concrete manifestation of the local government's commitment to the welfare of its employees and constituents.

As a testament to their strong commitment, employees of the LGU Santo Tomas, Rural Health Unit, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Santo Tomas Police Station took a collective Pledge of Commitment and signed their support for initiatives aimed at eliminating the harmful effects of illegal drugs in society.

A significant highlight of the event was the awarding of the PDEA Seal of Excellence to the Local Government Unit of Santo Tomas, Isabela. This prestigious recognition symbolizes the municipality's high standards in anti-drug advocacy and its dedication to promoting a clean, peaceful, and progressive community.

The program also included the awarding of official resolutions by PDEA recognizing barangays that have been declared Drug-Cleared and Drug-Free. These recognitions serve as a testament to the diligence and continued efforts of barangay officials in maintaining peace, order, and safety within their respective communities.

The ceremony concluded with the formal unveiling of the Drug-Free Workplace Marker, a powerful symbol of the collective dedication and commitment of all stakeholders in maintaining a safe, orderly, and drug-free workplace. The marker stands as proof of the unwavering stance of the Santo Tomas Police Station, Local Government Unit (LGU), Rural Health Unit (RHU), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) against illegal drugs.

Through this initiative, the Municipality of Santo Tomas continues its mission to combat the threat of illegal drugs and achieve a safer, more peaceful, orderly, and prosperous community for all.
